The self-styled “Sarmachars” have never felt ashamed

There is such a thing as shame and modesty, but what would you know of what these are?

From June to August 2025, in their magazine “Sarmachar,” the Baloch Liberation Army, along with the BLF, promoted terrorism by dressing up their exploits, acts of sabotage, and anti-state activities as self-styled bravado and a so-called freedom movement.  Saramchar is a Balochi term, and its literal translation can also include “brave,” “valiant,” or “one who sacrifices his head.

Apart from hollow claims and the mockery and insult of the people of Pakistan and their representative protectors, there is no positive thought or concern for the development of the people of Balochistan. These lovers of guns and explosives, who have become a daily source of shame for the Baloch nation, claim that they will bring peace to Balochistan and its people. Those who directly seek help from India to harm Pakistan, who toss baseless rumors to make Pakistan’s nuclear assets controversial and to see them dismantled, and who, while calling themselves “Sarmachars,” in reality are the murderers of the Baloch people, live off the scraps of inhuman forces and have become their very tools.

Hurling extreme abuses at the province of Punjab and at Punjabis, and leveling baseless accusations completely contrary to ground realities, has become the BLA’s habit. Punjabis have offered the blood of their sons to establish peace in Balochistan, and they still do. How could these so-called Sarmachars, who sell themselves for a few coins, ever forget these sacrifices? Those living in Balochistan are neither ingrates nor betrayers of their benefactors; they have not been and will not be led astray. It is nothing but the delusion and pipe dream of a handful of agitators, outsiders, and traitors that people will be swayed by their false ideology and terrorism and take them for saviors. Truth always prevails; no matter how much gilding you apply to a lie, its feet never find ground.

Their ringleader, Allah Nazar Baloch, in his letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the European Council, and other leaders, requests help for his so-called independence and, while distorting Balochistan’s history, claims that Pakistan has occupied Balochistan, is settling Punjabis there, and is committing oppression. This is an outright false and negative propaganda campaign and a bundle of baseless allegations, because if you scratch beneath the surface of the ground realities, it is not hard to recognize and understand how, in the name of freedom, the BLA and other mischief-stirring terrorist organizations committed organized crimes: innocent people were labeled as spies, informers, and anti-Baloch and were killed; homes and businesses were demolished; highways were blocked, passengers were dragged off buses and other vehicles, their identity cards checked, and if they were not Baloch, they were shot on the spot. Likewise, gas pipelines, railway lines, government property, banks, security check posts, police stations, government officers, even those who were Baloch, as well as highways and other infrastructure were blown up. Wherever development work was underway, these oppressors tried to destroy it. Under CPEC, projects and Chinese engineers were targeted, the basic aim being to sour relations between Pakistan and China; but the ties between the two countries are so strong that terrorists and their backers have had to face humiliation every time. The funds allocated annually in the budget for development works are, unfortunately, being spent on countering terrorism because of these thugs.

Alongside this, to mislead the younger generation, the terrorists have formed small groups under various names; by co-opting so-called human rights figures, they stage protests and spew invective against the state on social media. From India, Afghanistan, and other countries, fake accounts stoke the market of fake news and rumor-mongering. What is astonishing is that the leaders of these terrorist organizations, the BLA, the Baloch Liberation Front, the Free Balochistan Movement, and others, sit outside Pakistan claiming the right to decide the fate of Balochistan, while here they tempt a few rebels among the poor populace into terrorist actions. By sabotaging law and order, these terrorists have gravely harmed local and foreign investment. Their destructive activities have fostered an atmosphere of fear and panic, delivering a severe blow to every kind of confidence. Is this a war for freedom or a war for ruin? Is this service to Balochistan and the Baloch nation? Name one constructive deed these people have done. Those who preach bombs and gunpowder have given Balochistan nothing but devastation, so people will of course regard them as terrorists and reject them.

In Balochistan there are proper institutions and patriotic parties and individuals who represent the public, whom the people elect through their votes so that they legislate for their welfare. In addition, jobs are provided at the federal, provincial, and local levels, and even abroad. If there were prejudice, would equal opportunities for progress be offered? In fact, Baloch and representatives of Balochistan have continued to hold almost all of Pakistan’s key positions. They have had golden opportunities to better the fate of their people and region as well as the entire country, and many have, through hard work and dedication, honored the trust placed in them. Now ask yourself: would a usurping mindset grant so much freedom? And what justification remains for the so-called freedom whose sake they destroyed Balochistan’s peace and, by trampling on Baloch values, brought shame? These are the facts to which these terrorists have no answer; they mutilate them to catch the world’s attention, but the world is well aware of their misdeeds and therefore knows and regards them as terrorists. Seeing all this, how could civilized nations ever support them when they are seen committing oppression and brutality, fomenting riots, conspiring to break up the country, unleashing murder and mayhem, and rebellion?

In the same issue of “Sarmachar,” under an operation named “Baam,” the terrorist actions they have carried out and continue to carry out are grandly inflated and told as a madman’s dream. “Baam” means a new dawn, but their deeds are a noose dragging one into the mire of darkness, which the public has utterly rejected. According to them, they carried out about 600 attacks, allegedly proving how “peace-loving” they are and revealing their priorities regarding peace. They make the false and baseless claim of having killed over a thousand security personnel. The Pakistani army and relevant institutions are equipped with modern weaponry, training, and intelligence skills, whose prowess has been recognized worldwide, how could this gang of terrorists ever repulse them, especially when they also enjoy the complete support of the public? All of this is fantasy, a numbers game presented to please India. Brave people are never cowed by lies and deceit. Yet all this clearly shows that the terrorists’ nefarious aims must be recognized and they must be eradicated.

Moreover, those misguided individuals used in terrorism are elevated as highly respectable and turned into heroes, for example, Samiya Qalandarani. Where and how she learned to kill innocent people, then joined the BLA’s Majeed Brigade, and how she consigned herself to hell in a suicide attack. Their families were ruined, and many lost their lives due to these acts of sabotage, how can such people be well-wishers of the Baloch nation and this land, when their work is nothing but bloodshed and the disruption of public peace? Likewise, in this issue fabricated stories were concocted about the Pakistan Army, the fundamental purpose being to damage the army’s image. But this army is the people’s representative, so no one pays heed to slanders spread at the cost of terrorists’ lives, for lies have no feet. Everyone is fully aware of the army’s performance in both peace and war. Therefore, these terrorists, India’s protégés, have no standing and no reach.

No matter how many hollow claims the BLA, BLF, and other terrorist outfits make, the world considers them enemy bands of peace, satanic gangs whose intentions will keep turning to dust. No one is listening to these unreliable people, nor will they. After the dust that Pakistan’s people and army have made their master, India, swallow, it is no longer able to show its face and is losing ground every day in the diplomatic arena. From this, even these terrorists should infer what their fate is going to be. There is still time, come to your sense, because if that is the fate of your patron, then yours will be far worse. Whoever rams into a wall of solid lead is always shattered.
